Correction re history

[edit]

Need edit last sentence of first paragraph of History section: "The name underwent several changes, from Taco-Tia through El Taco, before settling on Taco Bell." Should read: The name underwent several changes ending with Taco-Tia before before Bell departed and eventually started Taco Bell.

Source: https://www.pasadenastarnews.com/2010/01/19/glen-bell-taco-bell-founder-dies/ ("Bell sold his stake in Taco Tia after his partner declined to expand into the Los Angeles market. He and another group of partners started a new fast- food chain called El Tacos around Long Beach, and again Bell sold his interests in the chain to try something new.")

"Decades" LTO in America ca. October-November 2024

[edit]

Are the return of limited time "decades" menu items, 1960s - Tostada, 1970s - Green Sauce Burrito, 1980s - Mexi-Melt, and 1990s - Beefy Gordita Crunch in the US from late October through presumably around mid-November, notable enough to warrant their inclusion in the article, or no? Just wondering. Whatever the answer is, I will accept. 68.49.126.217 (talk) 16:43, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Charitability

[edit]

Taco Bell Charitability: Taco Bell focuses its charitable efforts through the Taco Bell Foundation, which supports youth education and career readiness, particularly through its Live Más Scholarship, awarding over $130 million in scholarships to more than 9,000 students since 2015.The Foundation also funds programs that help young people explore careers and gain critical life skills, often partnering with organizations like Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In addition to scholarships, Taco Bell engages in community giving, volunteerism, and initiatives aimed at addressing food insecurity, including partnerships with No Kid Hungry.

Updating Statistics

[edit]

I am planning on updating the statistics in the infobox, such as the revenue generated and number of locations, all of which can be found on YumBrands corporate profile. I am also planning on adding a short section regarding the corporate overview:

As of 2024, Taco Bell's restaurants are located in 33 distinct countries and territories, with a total of 8,757 locations internationally. The vast majority of locations are franchised, with 8,253 locations being franchised as of 2024, with the remaining 504 locations being company-owned. Taco Bell's total revenue is currently (2024) at $17.193 billion, being the second most profitable brand within Yum! Brands following KFC.
